Data sources and review.
See what informs an outlook, which sources are conditional and why a source is not the same as a trade quote.
Three layers of information
Asset and reference data identifies the underlying stock and supplies a price from which a forecast begins. Context adds reporting, filings, public discussion and macroeconomic information when available. Execution data comes from an on-chain pool at the moment a user or agent requests a trade. These layers have different timestamps and should not be blended into one “live price.”
Robinhood explains that its read-only Stock Token API returns asset metadata and underlying-equity bid/ask. Those prices are not a DEX’s executable Stock Token swap quote.
Sources used by the product
| Source | How FETCHN uses it | Important limit |
|---|---|---|
| Robinhood Stock Token API | Asset catalog and underlying reference bid/ask for stock outlooks. | Reference information, not a Robinhood brokerage quote or DEX execution price. |
| GeckoTerminal | Indexed DEX pools, liquidity and historical candles where trades exist. | A token can exist without enough history or a liquid pool. |
| WSJ / Financial Times | Available RSS headlines and descriptions for reporting context. | Headlines are context, not a full article or a validated price signal. |
| Public discussion and sentiment context. | Posts are opinions and can be noisy or unverified. | |
| Testnet AMM pool | Live executable Stock Token/USDG quote, reserves and minimum output for a proposed trade. | Third-party liquidity can disappear or change between review and confirmation. |
Additional providers, when configured
The research engine can enrich a run with the following sources when their integrations and credentials are enabled. Listing a provider here does not mean it was available or used in every analysis. Read a run’s cited evidence to see what actually contributed.
| Provider | Potential contribution |
|---|---|
| SEC EDGAR | Company filings such as 8-K, 10-Q, 10-K and insider Form 4. |
| FRED | Macroeconomic series such as rates, inflation and employment. |
| NewsAPI | Searchable article and headline metadata. |
| X, Perigon, Exa, Tavily, FactsAI and OpenAI Web Search | Additional public posts, structured news, cited research or web results, according to configuration. |
| Kalshi and Polymarket | Prediction-market context when a relevant, verified linked market is selected. Their odds are not a Robinhood Stock Token trade quote. |
How to read the review
- Start with the asset and forecast horizon. A 24H outlook answers a different question from a 30D outlook.
- Read the specialist summaries and their different probability estimates. Large disagreement deserves attention.
- Inspect cited sources, timestamps and any missing-data notes. A citation supports a specific claim, not the entire conclusion.
- Read the risk and contradiction notes before acting. A positive outlook can coexist with poor testnet liquidity.
- For a possible trade, request a separate live pool quote in Terminal. The research result never replaces that check.
